The argument that abortion is shedding innocent blood is pretty flimsy, as well. It really comes down to when you believe a person is a person and when life becomes life. I do not believe an egg or a sperm is a person just because it has the potential to be a person.
Again, and I always have to repeat this: The one case where abortion is specifically mentioned, it is permitted by God as a curse against adultery.
you're splitting a hair. if we concede somehow that an embryo in the early stages, even if it doesn't constitute life, is not innocent, and frankly i dont see that as in anyway logical. well then you still have the issue of a large % of abortions that take place on more formed human babies. but if you're a pro choice person who thinks abortion should be limited to say the first month (to be in line with your logic) then you'd see the issue get resolved a lot quicker across the nation.
in a binary a zygote isn't "innocent" so it's "guilty"?
in bibilical terms "innocent" means pre-sin or without-sin, or even post Catholicism "absolved of sin". but maybe babies are in the womb coveting another man's wife. who can say.
