My thoughts on the South Asian situation from my perspective in Canada:
I can roughly lump South Asians into 4 groups:
1) Pakistanis
2) Upper caste practicing Hindus
3) Sikhs
4) Lower caste nominally Hindus (but no religion in reality)
For group 1), the Pakistanis here in Western Canada tend to be good - they tend to be highly educated professionals who are well-groomed and integrate well into our society. Our ultrasound tech in Calgary is a nice Pakistani guy who is actually a medical doctor, he was a practicing medical doctor in England but due to Canada's tight regulations he isn't able to be a doctor here without retraining (not worth it). Anecdotal but a more common thing I see. Now, I will say it is impossible for me to identify a poor low caste Pakistani from a low caste nominal Hindu, so we could group these together in 4).
For group 2), these are great people who also integrate well into society. They tend to be physically attractive & well groomed (Brahmin?), well educated, professional, and God-loving people. I get along well with their women, they love me, I've had some coworker friends, good mothers and family oriented people.
For group 3), these are a huge problem in Western Canada. They have a very strong racial, religious & group identity that is separate from Canada so they integrate very poorly, they all have loyalty towards their desired breakaway state of Khalistan, and they put those interests above Canada. They also tend to be the main ones occupying minimum wage positions in the economy. They can be well behaved or poorly behaved, it's a bit of a toss up, but in general they are groomed okay enough and don't cause many problems outside of Khalistani extremism.
For group 4), these are the WORST. They are the ones who do not groom AT ALL and reek of body odour all the time. They are unkept, ungroomed, unattractive. These are the ones who are sh*tting on our beaches and in public, and who have no regard whatsoever for their surroundings. Seeing them validates the Hindu caste system. They could either be Hindu or Pakistani, who knows, because they are not practicing and thus are just... nothing, no beliefs or higher thought, just nothing. These are the ones who should never been allowed to immigrate. They are usually here on false pretenses (same with group 3).
Just my thoughts on the situation in Western Canada. Certain towns/municipalities have been taken over nearly 100% by Sikh people.

This is exactly how Indian immigrants are here in the US the only exception is we have FAR LESS of the 3rd/4th group low caste Hindus and Sikhs and this is like I said because our VISA program attracts more of the HIGH Caste Brahmins who are basically just "Indians who came from some wealth" These are your "Kamala Harris" types except she's more of the FAKE Sikh in ideology/action. Most High Caste Brahmins from Pakistan/India are simply "educated" and not "illiterate". Yes the highest rates of "illiteracy" there as well.
The organization I'm a part of mains philanthropic goal is to build schools and help people read/write in Southern India.
When these same people are used as the "slave labor" by rich Brahmins in 1st world countries like US/Canada it's pathetic and that's the sad part for me personally.
I've been to the remote areas of southern India and it's truly sad man they have nothing. So these same people are victimized in the same way Pakistanis are.
They take advantage of their own and it's considered normal. If you are born in a low caste in India you NEVER make it out of the country. Only a brahmin or spiritual dignitary will have a chance. This is much the same in a lot of Middle Eastern and South Asian countries.
So then it becomes the hoards of illiterate middle aged men from these countries causing all the chaos in our countries. It's real simple they were doing it there with nothing and now they can do it here and get something for FREE? It's a win win.
Just like you I've been around the kindest Hindu people and Pakistani people(Doctors/Professors/Engineers/IT business owners) but their are a ton of bad apples that got here and it's real simple they "have to leave".
This is why people like Trump because we know he will at least at bare minimum deport the "bad ones" and not be like the Democrats who just lie/pretend things haven't gotten real bad and that we didn't give them all the "kickbacks/free money/free healthcare/free phone/free anything" and you wonder why they called home to "India/Pakistan" to say "OMG it's amazing here!" even when they are working for 2 dollars an hour and living with 15 people in a two flat. Like you said. Unkept. No hygiene. No religion. No fucks given. Just "this is better then what my condition was where I came from" now I am "living like a god here" Why leave? Why not tell everyone you know to come.
Recipe for a disaster and we are all living in the "results".
All we can do is activate our military and start arresting/deporting people. I go as far as bring in the US Army/Air Force/Marines/Navy literally hunt down the drug smugglers, people traffickers, and drug operations and literally kill them(if they fight) or get them on a military transport jet in chains and drop them in their country of origin in shackles. Maybe Mexico and these other countries can "PAY" for our governments to clean up this whole mess.
If America stopped the foreign wars to deport all these illegals and fix our roads/bridges and upgrade schools. It could actually make a huge difference.
Liberals are too cucked by their 1st world privilege to understand we need to send in Seal-Team-Six and the Green-Berets to KILL these Cartels that are exporting Fentanyl and little kids to our country for "consumption".
Thing won't get much worse here because everyone with a brain knows this isn't sustainable. Will we actually do something is up to debate.
