its even more fun becuase it doesnt impact myself directly. I can laugh and eat popcorn.

I do have immediate family in the US though so my blood and therefore myself are partially involved in the results of US politics (however infinitesimally)



its more like NEw York and LA and Chicago and St Louis and Houston all in one. with more multiculturalism

definitely more eccentric than the rest of Canada that I have experiebced first hand in Canada I have been to Quebec, Nova Scotia, New BRunswick, NFL, BC, Alberta, Northern Ontario so I have seen a fair bit of Canadian small towns

the one difference that is huge is that in the US a small town will have 5 or 6 box stores with sometimes there being 2 or 3 in the same plaza. Which was mind blowiong to me to see for the first time. A Menards besides a Walmart beside a Kosher beside a Best Buy Beside a Target and the local grocery storee is in the next plaza. Like mind blowing. Cuz in small town Canada there is 0 to 1 Walmart and THATS IT. There isn't nearly the amount of box stores in small town Canada based on my personal experiences from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Northern New York, Rural Nevada, Ohio.. althought Ohio is a fucking shit hole.

LA is a lot more spread out, like Vancouver. But I can't really disagree apart from that.

Though the rest of Canada is not really like the mid west. There's pretty significant differences between BC, the prairies, Quebec, and the maritimes. Toronto and Vancouver have their own unique personalities on top of that. Vancouver is very Hollywood and Toronto is very fast paced.

Looking down on Americans is our God given right as Canadians but it's just weird to me that it always seems to be Trump or the Republicans when the entirety of US politics is a clown show

I guess I just find this particular Trump gotcha moment particularly boring because it isn't new information that he lies about his wealth, I mean there was stuff from like 2015-16 about how he was actually a poor loser or whatever and it was probably as slanted and silly as this is. Rich people don't just have millions in their bank account, if they did it would be pretty stupid of them tbh.

The guy could literally send out "the democrats have tried to ruin me by targeting my businesses blah blah blah, please send me 5 dollars to keep up the fight!" And he would have millions in a day, so this is kind of a nothingburger.

Atlantic Canada isn't much like the midwest either except for being poor maybe lol
