And I am telling you that affluent Asians treat Sherpas even worse and that it has nothing to do with racism, if Sherpas were white/blue/brown/red it would be the same. Sherpas are expendable and they know it, there is no way for a evacuation party to reach them there in time.

Ya but In the video Babun1024 posted tons of people were just walking over a not dead( I think) person cause they couldn't be bothered to help. They absolutely could of helped him but I'm gona assume that rich white ppl were just like nah not my problem, which as a racist myself,I find disgusting

Wouldn't be any different if Chinese/Black people were there, there is a decent chance there are people of a different race in that party. Inability to differentiate racism from classism is all this is.
If you actually visit Africa/Asia/South America you will find that in many countries classism is deeply embed into the culture. And that rich people there have far more in-common with white rich people than with people living in a ghetto beside them. This is especially visible in countries like Brazil, India, South Africa, Nigeria etc.

Some information for people who aren't familiar with climbing Everest or whatever

If you're in the death zone, no one will stop to help you. It's called the death zone for a reason. The status quo is you leave them, because by trying to take them you risk your own life and the lives of your companions for a futile cause.

There is no stopping to help people there. People who make these moronic climbs KNOW the risks and KNOW people will not help you up there. This doesn't fucking matter if you're white or not no one can see your skin colour through all the parkas and winter coats.

There was like 30 people there with gear, and they were stepping over him, he was easily accessible I don't buy that there was nothing they could do for a second

It doesn't matter. Yes, you get stepped over. No one has enough oxygen to help you. No one can save you from hypothermia up there. If you don't buy it, do some research on the subject. It doesn't matter if there's 1 or 30 people they do not have the power to help them.

The sherpas have to go up on a planned mission just to move the frozen bodies.

Lol just cause it's hard doesn't mean it can't be done. That was a circumstance where it was easy to do so, no one was even checking him out it's not the fact that they couldn't, it's that they didn't try and if that was a blond haired blue eyed British girl you better believe they woulda tried.

Perhaps it could be done but what is the risk? If they have a 99.9% chance of failure, where failure means all of the rescuers and the victim dies, is it worth it? They don't need to check them out because they already know what the issue is - hypoxia and hypothermia. You cant stop to check them out because your oxygen is running low and you have to keep moving less you die yourself.

And there are plenty of examples of white people dying up there. Look up David Sharp. It's pretty horrifying stuff but those are the risks people take if you go up there. Skin colour means absolutely nothing.

Thinking that it is "easy" to help them is just foolishly naive.

It's unbelievably easy to help them when you're a group of 30 and literally walking right over him. The point is not that they wouldn't be able to gaurentee his survival, it's that their ascent to the peak was none important than their fellow man's well being. Look at the lone sherpa who just singlehandedly saved someone from the death zone, and it has happened in the past and it's especially easier when you're already there with enough supplies/oxygen to make a safe descent with a large group in favorable conditions.

I bet skin colour may have been a factor, you really think they would done the same to a white European in that exact same scenario?
