I don't see how you can equate that with what I said. It's known that physical traits don't cause mental/psychological traits. So when people say melanin causes criminality, and you want to ignore them, I can understand that. However allele frequency is a concept recognized in the scientific community, and it is observed in animals, and humans are animals. So to say that the principle of allele frequency might apply to human populations too isn't an absurd position. And if you dismiss something like that right out of hand without giving it due consideration, then yes, you are being closeminded.

I think it's mostly financially motivated crimes such as theft. There are crimes that are not influenced by poverty, such as those committed by serial killers who are not impoverished. Also, personally I don't believe that poverty causes crime and certainly not violence. It's more like poverty occurs concurrently with those things. People who are prone to crime or violence are such way that they are also poor.
