That's a stupid argument. It's been made abundantly clear over the years that what is or isn't in scripture doesn't matter. You people will take these words that are supposedly divinely inspired, and you'll twist them to fit whatever narrative you see fit any any point in time under the guise that it's "open to interpretation", even when that interpretation is directly contradictory to the words on the page. And yes, I do realize this doesn't directly pertain to ALL, but the general refusal to police your own on a large scale leads to an environment that allows this to happen and helps to reinforce poor thoughts and behaviors.
its not a stupid argument. scripture tells us man is corrupt. corrupt people dont disprove scripture they validate it. if you think my interpretation of scripture is false we can have that conversation but i am going to expect more than "its just is false" also for the record i am not catholic.
also let it be noted i am not laying down my faith just because others corrupt it
scripture also tells us there will be wolves in sheeps clothing
Matthew 7:15 King James Version
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
What is the spiritual meaning of wolf in sheep's clothing?
Wolf in sheep's clothing - Wikipedia
A wolf in sheep's clothing is an idiom of Biblical origin used to describe those playing a role contrary to their real character with whom contact is dangerous, particularly false teachers.
