if you go and look at like, matt walsh twitter feed, or most of tpusa, people like marjorie taylor greene and all the people who associate with her in that sphere(too many to name and i dont try to know the names of all them because thats a waste of time)

some of them are actually calling for literal erasure of transgender people from society, they are sometimes even blatantly describing genocide, other times they skirt the fact that they believe we are all a threat to society while also explaining that all trans people are a threat to society and all doctors who help trans people are criminals that should be given prison sentences

how exactly are transgender people supposed to react when the following of anti trans ideology has gotten so big that states are trying to actively ban transgender peoples access to healthcare at all? i am of course talking about the ones who are saying that these laws are akin to genocide, not the shooting

hate crime motivated mass shootings in america and the world too, but we are talking about america specifically here, are a sad reality that has become a culture war somehow, because rich gun organizations pay boat loads of cash to any politician that will ignore the issue of uncontrolled gun ownership in the country, which more directly leads to these shootings being so common

not to mention they're usually more practical weapons for such shootings, in tight corridors and at close range to people who could grab your weapon.
I've always figured that the fact so many would-be terrorists are just uninspired peabrains who blindly copy the narrative they've been exposed to, is what has saved us from the far worse potential of people actually utilizing bombs, fire, trucks and poison. Which were more common and more relatively lethal and fell out of vogue in the past few decades and now we get terror attackers who kill 6 people before getting gunned down. Even the most elaborate preparation by a well funded and competent attacker with all the opportunity and no mistakes, as we saw in Las Vegas, still killed less people than some muslim guy LARPing crazy taxi in france. Lord help us if they ever figure out what you can do with wire cutters, a bike lock and a drum of gasoline.
