Every day. Ask a cop if they think twice about threatening or trying to swing their dick around. Or ask any mugger on a street would they be comfortable to rob a person with a gun or without.
Loss of freedoms is a slow gradual process. They are eroding those freedoms through mass programming and generational acceptance unfortunately. Take guns away and they will do it overnight

Heres a cop arresting a kid for walking home.
Does he look afraid to abuse his power?
Does the officer at the jail look afraid when he threatens to punch the kid in the face because he can?
Muggers on the street have no idea who has a gun or who doesn't and they still mug people.

it's actually the opposite: in no other western country are cops as brutal and as trigger happy as in america. them being aware that every person they encounter is a potentially lethal threat just predictably escalates situations, increases the chance of shooting first and asking questions later, and when in doubt just take someone's life rather than risk their own.
also, no other country in the whole world imprisons as many people (not just absolute numbers, but more importantly, relative to the population) as the US. your guns did literally nothing to protect you from tyrannical government, and you people are too stupid to even realise that, lol.
