Find me just ONE person who has been permanently banned from those platforms for merely expressing a "conservative POV" (i.e. we should lower taxes, we should teach the Bible in school, etc.)
Twitter has repeatedly gone after persons who refuse to bow to the transgender ideology and say things like "no, girls can't have penises too" or stuff like that.
Here's a report from a radical feminist:

The platforms themselves should decide the "line." What's considered racist on jsp is different than what's considered racist on Reddit which is different than Facebook. While we should be concerned about the power of Big Tech, their INACTION is far more destructive than their ACTIONS.
Democracy is deformed when people believe lies.
Do you seriously fail to realize that you are effectively saying that these platforms should be able to decide what "the truth" is and ban those who disagree with it, i.e. "spread lies"?

I know that it benefits you politically to push lies, racism, and violence but I'd argue that it'd be more beneficial if your side simply had better ideas.
I understand where
you are coming from. You're a centrist to center-right leaning guy who's strongly pro-establishment, pro-technocracy and anti-populism. In the political landscape of today's America, you have become more or less politically homeless, with the Democrats moving further and further to the left and the Republican party taken over by trumpists. You have begrudgingly started rooting for team blue because you secretly hope that a lengthy spell of electoral defeats would force the GOP to get rid of trumpism and you would get back the GOP of McCain or Romney or so.
You willingly look the other way and (try to) convince yourself that the authoritarian impulses of the liberal side are either imaginary, or not that big of a deal, or a harsh reaction that nonetheless targets the right people who "deserve" to be silenced. You turn a blind eye to big tech surveillance, the loss of civil rights and liberties because you just cannot stomach the tactics and tone and lack of oh-so-precious decorum of the side which is still advocating and defending these things.

That's why your family executed my wife's family.
Just for your info: my grandfather was a 16 year old boy when he was forcibly enlisted to the Wehrmacht in late 1943. A few weeks after being recruited against his will, he was hit by a grenade or mortar in Northern Italy. The projectile got stuck in his upper arm, but it was a dud, so he survived for the moment. The wound was huge and started to fester though, he was already almost dead by the time some brave doctor in a field hospital volunteered to try to remove the projectile and the splinters from his arm. It was a major miracle that my grandfather survived this ordeal; without this miracle, I wouldn't be here today.
The class above him could still get some sort of "emergency high school graduation" which enabled them to go to university and pursue higher education a couple of years later, after the war. My grandfather was royally screwed. Despite being the best in his class and a highly intelligent man, he could never go to college or get even a shot at the career he wanted once the war was over. In spite of being extremely lucky to have survived, his life was still derailed forever because a murderous regime enlisted adolescents for their war of aggression.
My grandfather's brother was older when he had to fight in the war. After the war, he was traumatized by the atrocities he had seen and was drinking his brains out for 10 years before he got his life back in order. His bad health still caused him to have an untimely, far too early death.
And despite all that, my family is still one of those who got really lucky; plus, what they had to endure is presumably nothing compared to the family of your wife, so please don't get me wrong, it is not my intention to downplay their suffering.
Anyway, the bottom line is that no, my family did not execute your wife's family and if you (or fender or any of the other usual suspects) think that I'm a nazi sympathizer, you are
horribly mistaken.
