Ha! I figured it out. The shooters motivation was probably an early '80s KODAK commercial.
He probably named his gun the... KODAK Disc.

Speculating the motive of the shooter means little tbh hes dead, unless we are trying to uncover more threats.. And that is the FBIs job not ours.

What we can analyze is how the media reacts and how other politicians react, and how Trump reacted just moments after.

His line of sight on that roof was perfect
He initially evaded all law in the area
His mere gaze frightens a cop off a ladder
Every angle the secret service had on him was suboptimal
