Different articles and info say different amounts, also depends on that date of the estimates.

Another wiki article shows "1,997,328 (Gaza Strip – 2022 est.)"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_Strip
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_State_of_Palestine
Both 2022 estimates that vary by 300k.

Either way. Its a lot of people. With nowhere really to go. The Israelis are saying to leave but they have also been enforcing a hard border for decades.

Yeah Gaza 2+ millions and West Bank is 3+ million. But above all i think we can note down the 2.5-3% increase per year due very high natality and the very massive amount of children... of 0-14.

yep you support terrorists, we get it

already inb4'd that lazy silencing attempt earlier, get some new material:

to the dishonest simpletons of this sub it doesn't matter if you repeatedly condemned terrorist attacks on innocent civilians, and acknowledged israel's right to exist and defend itself.

as soon as you're providing some context and nuance, as soon as you dare to mention israel's brutal, multi-generational oppression of the palestinian people, and how extreme radicalisation is a problem massively contributed to by their occupation and discrimination, you'll be labeled an anti-semite, a terrorism supporter, and a jihadism sympathiser, no matter how ridiculous that is...

it's a common tactic to silence any legitimate criticism, and people engaging in it don't deserve to be taken seriously.

israel should level all of Gaza, then leave the area completely uninhabitable as a dead zone for 10-20 years. just to counter the narratives by Hamas that Israel is just greedy for land. leave it as a dead zone, arrest anyone inside, ship all of the inhabitants to muslim countries. and be done with it.

I have a feeling this actually might be the end of Gaza. They mobilized over 100k and sent them them to Gaza border, tanks, armor etc. Based on some of the rhetoric, they’re saying this will discourage their enemies for 50 years to come (so I’m assuming the response will be much harsher versus the war they had a few years ago).

The air strikes are always first to come as it softens targets, eliminates command posts, etc. Shutting off the water and food will cause all those that want to leave leave. They’ll basically line up and be left to leave somewhere, who knows where though. Then once they get most civvies out, I can see them sending in the 100+k and this becoming Bakhmut 2.0, except way more one sided as hamas basically just has small arms and will get curb stomped by much more advanced weaponry.

The great powers, especially Britain, that gave the land to Jews. There were already people living there, people that were different from and potentially incompatible with the incoming group. How did they not see that this would lead to strife.

Without very swift action from Egypt, and preferably UN support to Egypt on that border we're looking at dire situation.

to draw a parallel China has for decades supported NK not due to ideological similarities, but because they know a collapse of the regime leads to millions of refugees spilling across their border.

Egypt now faces that as a serious reality. the call to evacuate has been sent, the cushion for evacuation needs to be provided or it's fish in a barrel. this is going to get nasty fast.

Edit: israeli mods are now in the thread, i expect a lot of suspensions/warns in this thread lmao.

Man this is gonna be one hell of a shit show if Israel goes full invasion.

And it's not gonna be fun going forward if Israel has a border with Egypt again.

but... as I've said since 2015.

No matter what now Egypt is going to have refugees on their hands

The people have only one direction they can go. Israeli doesn’t care about civilian loss, the only thing holding them back are the hostages, especially with Netanyahu at the helm plus he feels he has justification. Well realistically the hostages will likely not survive so mass destruction will ensue

It’s whether we are proactive to ensue somewhat of a transition here and also share the burden with neighboring countries or if it just becomes a clusterfuck

If only there was like a UN to assist in a humanitarian crisis such as this

Nobody is supporting terrorists. He is just pointing out that the "good" guys, aka the Israelis, aren't much better than the terrorists. In fact, if you go by the number of innocent people killed, Israel is worse than Hamas.

yeah because as pointed out already

terrorists intentionally hide behind civilians
