I have a feeling this actually might be the end of Gaza. They mobilized over 100k and sent them them to Gaza border, tanks, armor etc. Based on some of the rhetoric, they’re saying this will discourage their enemies for 50 years to come (so I’m assuming the response will be much harsher versus the war they had a few years ago).
The air strikes are always first to come as it softens targets, eliminates command posts, etc. Shutting off the water and food will cause all those that want to leave leave. They’ll basically line up and be left to leave somewhere, who knows where though. Then once they get most civvies out, I can see them sending in the 100+k and this becoming Bakhmut 2.0, except way more one sided as hamas basically just has small arms and will get curb stomped by much more advanced weaponry.
Without very swift action from Egypt, and preferably UN support to Egypt on that border we're looking at dire situation.
to draw a parallel China has for decades supported NK not due to ideological similarities, but because they know a collapse of the regime leads to millions of refugees spilling across their border.
Egypt now faces that as a serious reality. the call to evacuate has been sent, the cushion for evacuation needs to be provided or it's fish in a barrel. this is going to get nasty fast.
Edit: israeli mods are now in the thread, i expect a lot of suspensions/warns in this thread lmao.
