The orange dot ("shotspotter activation") seems far more prevalent in the black and latino districts while there are far more confirmed shootings in downtown. Generally speaking, it seems as if these shotspotter microphones were exclusively installed in the non-white blocks. :rolleyes:

But for real: it seems as if confirmed shootings (red stars) are mostly found in downtown. Contrasted with the large number alarms (yellow and orange dots on gooms map) in the non-white neighborhoods, there are conspiciously little police-confirmed cases (stars). Either the police doesn't even try to tackle shootings in these places, or their efforts are futile because the locals keep their mouths shut if they know what's good for them. <_<
