Fyi I recently signed up for twatter. We'll see if that becomes the prevailing opinion. So far I've had an offer to join the lib dems and a retweet from one of my favourite breadtubers. So it's going well.

American talking heads have like zero experience debating anyone competent. They go out of their way debating meme youtubers and minor personalities without ever engaging with people who know what they're doing. They're too used to getting fed questions they already know were coming.

We've already seen it happen a lot with our the US ambassador to the Netherlands getting called out ("This is the Netherlands. You have to answer questions."), with Rutger Bregman bodying Cucker Tarlson, and now we have Ben Shapiro way out of his depth, unwilling to actually engage.

Adding to that - the American right is scarily far right compared to the rest of the developed world, is clownishly partisan and has no concept of nuance in views. Neil asks Shapiro a couple of questions on abortion and instantly he's a lefty, cuck soyboy. The level of political discourse in America when compared to most of Europe is the equivalent of a couple of drunk toddlers screaming at eachother.

I've long said similar and it's only getting worse. It's why it's so entertaining... and so dangerous.
