Running all the brilliant Jewish scientists out of Germany and to the US and the UK was one of the biggest shoot-yourself-in-the-foot moves of the 20th century, probably even worse than Mao's Great Leap Forward and behind only the autogenocide committed by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.
