That's the problem with omnibus bills. It makes it really easy to oppose things (and ridiculously hard to get consensus).

Nothing stops Democrats from putting forward a standalone "presciption drug price control"-bill. They don't do it although it would be super popular (even among Republican voters) because it is the Big Pharma lackey from within their own ranks, Sinema, who's against that and they don't want to expose themselves.

They don't do that because of the amount of times you can use reconciliation annually and the amount of time it takes to debate shit. I'm sure a lot of Republicans support childcare in some form, universal pre-K, etc. However, a lot of Republicans support DACA too and they've made very little progress in several years. Omnibus bills are simply more pragmatic to actually get things done. If you're part of the opposition or a demagogue like AOC, they allow you to vote no so you can remain pure.

Republicans have been screaming about how even modest reforms to our healthcare system written by Republicans is socialism for over a decade now.

Do you really think their concern is with outing Sinema? No lol. You would never get Republicans on board, because Republicans are a monolith on those issues. Sinema wouldn't even be a factor because getting 60 votes wouldn't even be close to on the table.

I think it could only happen if a Republican is President. Republicans as a whole aren't interested in giving a Democrat President a win. The proof is with COVID relief and the Infrastructure bill.

Yep. So that's why they don't.

The infrastructure bill was massively popular across both sides of the aisle on almost every provision. Didn't matter to Republicans.

The idea that Democrats could submit popular bills and "punish Republicans for voting against it" ignores like the last 30 straight years of political history. Democrats do that literally every single time and Republicans never get punished, because the average American is pretty stupid about politics.

One day Thor, you will remove yourself from groups and think as an individual. That day, you will easily see the cracks in society. You will see Blue sheep fighting Red sheep. White sheep fighting black sheep. Christian sheep fighting Muslim sheep.

I've explained to you both in public and in private my opinion on Democrats.

Dumb dumb can't do anything but put others down because he has nothing to be proud of.

We were talking about the House. Nothing stops House Democrats from advancing a clean, simple bill on prescription drug prices. If Senate Repulbicans want to filibuster it because Dems can't use reconciliation, they'll have a hard time explaining their resistance to the bill to a public which overwhelmingly supports it. If there is no pork, no woke virtue signalling and no waste in the bill, if it's really clean and the only argument against it is "it will cut into corporate profit margins", that should be an easy political winner for Democrats.

So yes, it ultimately does come down to them not having their 50 votes in the Senate because of Sinema, just like I said.
