Are they voting against their best interest? It seems to me that a lot of people realize their inadequacies and want to keep minority races a step below them. If anything, it's a self-preservation tactic. If you're a rust belt, white trash, heroin addict, you're currently treated better than a middle class black man. If you vote for liberals, yea your life will improve but the middle class black man will improve even more and the rust belt, white trash, heroin addict will be relatively worse off. They rejected it because they don't want to give Biden a win. They overwhelmingly voted against a bill that they've been fighting for for YEARS (infrastructure) and want to punish the Republicans who voted for it lol. They are a bunch of clowns.

My point is that it would be a lot harder for them to reject a bill where they actually agree on the policy. They'd still probably do it though.
