This doesnt mean that people would still support it after both sides had time to put a partisan spin on the bill. Just look at Obamacare, which gave many people better healthcare coverage and was mostly paid for by people with higher incomes - it was still an electoral stinker for a couple of years before the electorate had warmed up to it. And even today, it's decently popular but not a political slam dunk.

I don't think the bill should pass without the CBO scoring it. I'm against the child tax credits because they are INSANELY expensive and I'm not sure how effective they will be in the long run. Like yea, they cut poverty by a SUBSTANTIAL amount but is it sustainable? I'm skeptical of child care pay increases combined with the subsidies for families. That is definitely going to warp the market and I'm not sure how accurate the forecast will be for that. The rest seems fairly straightforward.
