I wonder how many times ThatAlex can have Hillary's wall street reform plans explained to him before he actually acknowledges that Glass Steagall isn't the only possible way to bring about reform?
At this point, I'm going with 'infinite.'
I don't think you realize how important and huge reinstating the two sections of Glass-Steagall could be.
Certainly regulating Wall Street/Banks is much more complicated than just reinstating that one piece of legislation, but it's a huge step in helping prevent another financial crisis.
There's really no good reason for Hillary Clinton not to support Senator Warren and Senator McCain's work to reinstate Glass-Steagall, other than obvious being the fact that she would introduce a direct conflict of interest between her and political donors by supporting the legislation. What do you think her reason for not supporting Glass-Steagall is? She's fumbled on the question many times during debates and would never pre-approve of that question being asked during an interview.
I've asked you to post which specific Wall Street reforms HRC is advocating for, and you posted 2-3 links, including her personal website, that I thoroughly read through and saw that they were highly unspecific and vague. She wants to defend Dodd-Frank and close the Volcker Rule’s hedge fund loophole, which are good, but other than that, it's pretty vague other than "I'm going to be hard on Wall Street!" or "I'm going to break up these big banks and end their corruption!"
The bottom line is that Wall Street regulation is not one of the important things for Hillary's campaign because that's not what she's going to do as president. She doesn't want more Wall Street or banking regulations. Glass-Steagall is a litmus test of that fact.
On this subject, she's likely going to continue the practices of the Obama administration. Which isn't nearly as bad as what a Republican can do, but I also don't know why you are giving me shit for criticizing Warren on not challenging Hillary a little more on the issue. Wall Street/Big banks has been Warren's biggest talking point as a Senator.
