Of course not, but depicting Youngkin as a mini-Trump is clearly their main focus during the final stretch of the campaign.

If their data has determined thats an effective strategy, and I've seen analysis that Trump increases opposing turnout, then they will use it.

Its that simple.

Don't be obtuse on purpose. If going back to Trump is still their most promising pitch in November 20-fucking-21, what does that tell us about the quality of their own gubernatorial candidate, or the popularity of their president and their policy platform? What does it tell us about the vulnerability of the GOP gubernatorial candidate (or rather the lack thereof)?

Reminds me of the way Democrats tried to still run against GWB in 2009 and 2010 and how that turned out.

thor is so limited intellectually he constantly brings up Trump as a rallying cry in a governor race in a far-left state almost a year after he finished his term as President.

that this race will even be within 5 points is due to things like the swamp demons and lefties thor worships covering up sexual assault of minors and people forcefully harassing women in bathroom stalls. but they’re just following the lead of the harris/biden administration, who said this is “just part of the process”

the left would run against Lincoln and champion Robert Byrd if they thought it would get them a result. wait they do that anyways lmao

They are turning back to Trump because, statistically, they have no better option. They are losing on virtually every issue of importance with the American voter. No confidence on inflation, no confidence on the border, and no confidence on schools.

2022 is shaping up to be a complete wipeout.

Youre again assuming this is their only action.

I think you're being obtuse on purpose lol

Again: I don't dispute that Dems are running multiple different ads and messages - but by definition, there can only be one messaging that is the main focus during the final stretch of a campaign. And the main focus of VA Dems is not their candidate, his Republican opponent, their president or their agenda - it's Trump.

And you based that on what besides that flyer?

Maybe you're right and this is all they're doing right now, but all I've seen is that flyer.

However, even if "He's associated with Trump" was their primary plan, that doesn't make it pathetic. There's evidence from a bunch of elections now that tieing your opponent to Trump increases opposition turnout. If they're confident they've gotten their message out otherwise, then that's a logical last-push message.
