Sure, but the fact that the GOP has to sweat an R+6 seat in a Biden midterm, because they need every single seat to barely limp across the finish line in the House, really reinforces what a disappointing performance this was for Republicans across the board.

good they fucking deserve it

like i said before the fact nancy and chuck were all smiles last two weeks even with the controversy around that “friend” who paid a visit to the pelosi house made it clear they knew this wouldnt be a landslide.

im happy with a potentially split legislative branch with a slight majority in the house. means these overpaid idiots wont get anything done - which is better than the usual fucking up they do

Sure, but I would really have wanted the GOP to take control of the Senate, so that Biden can't nominate more federal judges. (And to hedge my 3k fg bet with tcock about Democrats not winning a trifecta in 2024.)

Agreed. Also the Hyena having final say on what passes the senate is disturbing

Well, as of right now, everything from 51-49 to 49-51 is still possible. Republicans have secured 49 Senate seats so far, but the Arizona race is imho clearly leaning to Kelly. The Republican in NV seems in better shape, but he might fall short in the end by the tiniest of margins. And I have a hard time seeing how Walker wins the GA runoffs after having lost the regular race by almost 1% this Tuesday. The Dem machine in Atlanta is really strong and getting the GOP's rural white base to the polls is tough, particularly for an underwhelming candidate like him. So even if Laxalt in NV hangs on, that would only offset the loss in PA and bring us back to 50-50, with Democratic control.

Walker lost by about 1 point but two points went to the libertarian party. I highly doubt any libertarians will vote for warnock.

At best, you can split the Libertarian vote by a 3:1 ratio in Walker's favor or something like that. Which would put Walker/Warnock at an exact 50:50 going into the runoff, where it's all about turnout and Democrats should have the advantage.
