what this has boiled down to now is that everyone, left right and center, understands the failure of the police cost more lives. and they know that we know that. however a lawsuit is coming, and admitting such will be an auto loss with an increased payout. so they will pretend they didnt fuck up royally so they can further that narrative once the trial commences. they'll bring forward siege expert witnesses to tell interesting anecdotes of shooters that holed up for a 12 hour standoff before a negotiator got them to disarm peacefully, they'll bring cops up to talk about the number of kids they evacuated through windows, etc. all in an effort to simply reduce the amount they have to pay grieving parents.

Some stupid shit for sure. The city council is not punishing criminals The police chief was newly elected and I think will help. Most of them will lose their seat next run thankfully
