O'Rourke has real hype here. I've never seen as many yard signs for a political candidate in this state. That probably doesn't mean anything for O'Rourke in terms of numbers, but it does show he has a lot of voter enthusiasm.
Most races in Texas aren't close or interesting enough to care about. Even if a candidate wins by 20+ points, that doesn't necessarily translate to enthusiasm. No point in putting up an Abbott sign up when he's going to demolish his opponent.
