When I was in the military, I was stationed at Governor's Island NY for electronics school. Even back then, 1976, NY had a law that you could only carry a knife that was 4.1 inches long or less.
Even if knives become illegal to carry, it won't change the murder rates. People will just use a lead pipe, or a sock filled with quarters, or a garrote.

If someone is bent on killing, they will kill.

It's not about any legalities concerning buying knives. This all started spiraling out of control when the police's stop and search rules were diminished. All because, unsurprisingly, racial complaints rose.

In the end, they were put in place to get knives off the streets and they worked, but apparently people's feelings mean more than keeping dead bodies off the streets.

certain knives are already illegal to carry here and in certain cases even possession, like switchblades for example
too bad the bad guys dont give a fuck and especially for young male migrants knives seem to be a thing they wont leave the house without

Perhaps has an effect, But I can't believe that London's murder rate would triple by that alone. There is more at work.

Yeah. The "I'm dead, but I was always politically correct" philosophy.

Or: I cast the blame before knowing what's going on, digging my own grave.

Yeah. That IS an issue as well.
I still blame lax immigration laws, all over the place, on that.
It's easy to blame the guy who lived his whole life in one type of cultural scenario, who gets upset when that changes. And then goes out and out of disillusionment, decides to shoot up a school, or blow up a building.

Take the middle east and even Africa or Central America, as long as there are places those people can migrate to, what motivation do they have to stay where they are and fix their countries problems.


/e And when they migrate to other countries, they bring their issues with them, which will upset the folks in the country they migrated to.
