it seems you've interpreted the message in that the government is the Christian, that's not it, you are the Christian.

Seriously, what has been stolen from you?

And how much is your citizenship worth in terms of benefits given and rights granted?

Do you really believe it is a bad deal? You aren't compelled to stay. Surely there are places where you can be free to suck and die.

Well im not a Christian anymore, but we can choose to voluntarily give our own money to the poor. That would be a Christian thing to do.
Giving someone else's money to the poor is not charitable or generous.

Yes im much better off here than a random country.
I dont need to renounce citizenship and move away in order to object to people calling high taxation "the christian" thing to do.

any coin.

Mark 12:13-17

13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. 14 They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not? 15 Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” 16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied.

17 Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”

So give back to the government what is the governments. The good Christian knows that what jingles in his pocket is not his, but the governments.
