Name one rock&roll band that existed before The Beatles instead of posting what you think is accurate.

Bill Haley & His Comets?

Ok good point, my bad I did not know this band :)
The Beatles still made rock&roll popular, I don't think this music spread all over the world before The Beatles.
Edit: I actually knew this song, seems I have much to learn about rock&roll, thanks for educating me hehe.
I'm still so young, and was not really searching anything new (I mean I was happy with what I already knew and didn't seek for new music to discover... even old songs like this one) before I found The Present.

Kruger and Dunning proposed that, for a given skill, incompetent people will:

    tend to overestimate their own level of skill;
    fail to recognize genuine skill in others;
    fail to recognize the extremity of their inadequacy;
    recognize and acknowledge their own previous lack of skill, if they are exposed to training for that skill

See my edit (I edited before you post that proposition of Kruger and Dunning)... I never saw anyone but GirlOnGirl and me admit he was wrong on this thread byt the way.
I never said I know everything... Au contraire my point is we all have truths to discover, and we should keep seeking for truth... untill we die.

Here is what I want to know:
I know next to nothing about hip hop (and while writing this post, I will not be doing any research about it). The first hip hop artist I really became aware of was Puff Daddy (and hell I might be wrong by labeling him as a hip hop artist!).
I would never, ever, go out on a limb and state that hip hop did not exist before Puff Daddy's work (or that he was one of the originators), even though this statement might be true (as far as I know anyway).

What kind of a person makes bold claims about things they know they know next to nothing about?
How much extra skepticism should an audience apply to someone who has been shown to do this in the past?

I did not say I know nothing about rock&roll (I said I do not know everything and still have much to learn... and I want to learn), I listen to at least 20 different bands... all past 1960 though.
Your argument is invalid.

not making an argument, I'm asking you two questions:

I can not answer your question because I do not meet the statement you did before.

Edit : This is not about rock anyway, it is about truth.

Quote
The truth of the balance is the most clear at the edges of physical reality. If you look at the biggest things in the universe, the stars and planets, you will see that they are all going in balanced circles (orbiting) around each other. If you look at the smallest things that make up all matter and atoms, you will see the same thing, electrons going in circles around a nucleus.

The edges reveal clearly the fundamental nature of our reality. Everything is going around in circles. As you become more aware, you begin to see that all physical things in between the biggest and smallest are doing the same thing in one way or another. Soon it will be as clear to you as night and day, and you will know the nature of everything.

Change: The key truth is the knowledge of the balancing opposites, because you can see this truth in action everywhere you look. Change or movement is caused when parts of a cycle or system are out of balance. They always will move or change to balance. Example, in the weather system when there is a high pressure zone and a low pressure zone, the air in the high pressure zone will move into the low pressure zone causing wind and bad weather. If you are hungry, you eat, etc.

There are two types of truth: truth you know and the truth you experience. The mind truth is the opposite of living or real truth. They cannot exist together, so you have to sacrifice one for the other. Mankind is currently sacrificing life for the mind. We just have to do the opposite. We have to start living in “That which is” and stop just thinking about it all the time. We just have to get our minds out of the way; they are blocking true life. You do not have to think if you know life.

The truth and life: When you know the truth, you can be completely aware of everything coming to you through your life senses, you will experience true life. Truth = life, life = truth, but you have to learn all the truth to get all the life.

The more you see the truth, the more you will see the life. The more you see life, the more you will see the truth. They build on each other, and your knowledge of them grows until you know life completely and become life.
