So aside from price caps which is an immensely dumb idea, this is the latest on some economic ideas
I would expect all of these to be watered down if actually passed. Taxes on unrealized gains seems kind of dumb but at least she leveled that against ultra high net worth individuals not everyone. Child tax credit I'm generally in favor for. One of the better ways to waste tax dollars, helping parents build families should be encouraged.
The corporate tax cut being middle pointed at 28% is pretty interesting. Corporate earnings are already slowing, you will see a lot of pushback and even if D's win, i think it ends up being less than 28%.
Taxing unrealized gains is a disastrous idea which should never be normalized. By limiting it to "high net worth individuals", the concept would be established and normalized. Then, the threshold will be lowered over time until middle class folks are forced to sell off their house because their house appreciated in value and they can't pay the taxes anymore. BlackRock and Vanguard will happily buy them up.

And the moment she opens her mouth and mentions the economy shes making it so much worse, "price controls", really
The problem is not just what she has to say when she talks about the economy, it's the sheer fact THAT she is talking about the economy at this point in time. It's really campaign 101 that you never want to draw attention to the policy issues on which the public trusts your opponent far more than yourself. Just like a Republican should never voluntarily start talking about abortion in a presidential or swing state election, Kamala would be well advised to avoid the economy and immigration as much as she can.
Granted, you can't conduct an entire general election campaign without ever saying anything about the economy, but her talking points should be milquetoast, uncontroversial and mostly attacks on Trump. If I were her campaign manager, the only things she'd be saying about the economy is "we lowered prescription drug prices" and "Trump gave his donors the largest corporate tax cut of all time". And she should only be talking about it at a later point, after her good-vibesiness has run its course.
