The response to the "when specified" question literally made me choke on my supper.

As for me, the only thing I hard disagree is the whole sporting thing. I could see how some parents might feel uneasy with the bathroom questions.

if a transgender individual passes a screening test for weight etc etc i dont see why not. i would say pre transition is sketchy but other than that let them do what they want

The main issue is that biological men have a natural physiological advantage over women since men have been androgenized at a young age while women haven't. For instance, bio men have more bone density and larger lungs (V02 max) than women regardless whether they transition or not, and consequently in a competitive sporting setting, it's completely unfair. Even if you supress testosterone, the loss in something like muscle mass isnt' reduced sufficiently for parity. Alas, there's no cogent pro-trans argument for the whole sports issue.

my personal take is i dont care about sports. but the insane hatred towards transgender people due to this particular subject, especially transgender women, is unacceptable. its a very dirty and shamelessly sad political talking point. if ever there was a fair discussion to be had its long gone. thats my take, anyway

id be fine with the verdict of not allowing trans athletes in sports or perhaps allowing them to compete but maybe not "win". but even that ig you just linked is littered with trans hate :/. id rather not dip my toes any further ive seen more than enough about this subject and it doesnt end well
