Electoral College has not cast their vote, and Congress has not certified that vote. As of this moment, there is no President Elect.

The media doesn't determine who the next President is, Congress and the Supreme Court do. While I give Joe Biden and Kamala Harris a 99.97% chance of victory, I think Harris resigning prior to that number being 100% would be premature.

Trump is President until January 20th. Biden is not "still" anything. Assuming nothing major happens, he will be our next President, but that's still over a month away.

Assuming nothing major happens? What could happen? Within the realm of reality. He won, its over.

He is your DErrr President-Elect. Happy?

This is false. The President is not "Elected by popular vote". For that matter, even the EC vote, which has not been cast, can be overturned by Congress. And even a Congressional vote (house for Pres, Senate for Vice) can be overturned by the Supreme Court.

Biden has not "won". He probably will, but it's not a done deal. Unless and until Trump concedes, it's still an open contest. Trump's running out of wiggle room for a legal victory, but he can easily drag it all the way out to the 6th, if necessary.

I DON’T HAVE ANY INSIGHT INTO THIS BUT FIND IT INTRIGUING. “Executive Order on Providing for the Closing of Executive Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government on December 24, 2020”

He's just giving them Christmas Eve off, isn't he? That's how I read it. I mean, as a bunch of governors are telling their states that they need to cancel Christmas, it'd be just like Trump to give everyone Christmas Eve off to get an early start to their gathering. :P

Or the easier answer for Brian is - nothing major will happen to change the eventual outcome of Biden taking the office.

I mean, Biden didn't even campaign, yet somehow managed to get what, 11 million more votes than Obama did in 2008? For that matter, Trump winning 2016... Like, at this point, "something major" could be any given afternoon, I don't want to predict the future, however I call it, I'll probably be wrong. :P
