Almost a fair point. You imply something is radical because it goes against something that is successful. The definition of radical is that it defies the status quo. A thing can be successful without being ubiquitous... Unless your definition of success is prevalence. Then I'll give you your win.
I think it's a poor way to define success however. Very Darwinian.

abortion would be a non-issue with a middleground currently in place, but democrats want to force people to subsidize abortion clinics and have seemingly endorsed post-birth abortions.

discourse on taxes: left=massive taxes are good because rich people bad, i want stuff, and we dont understand history or economics

supreme court: one great justice gets through despite demonization. The other one is pretty flawed but the discussion only revolved around despicable personal attacks from democrats that had nothing to do with honest policy complaints.

In his view explicitly opposing fascism and never endorsing fascism isnt enough to not be a fascist or alt-right if you make true observations and claims about the world that he says fascists also make.
