I didnt pick atheism. Atheism is just a default state cause nothing else convinced me.
You dont choose to believe something. You either believe something based on what you heard about it or you dont.

And again, atheism has nothing to do with scientific discoveries.

The book of Ecclesiastes is very clear that life is meaningless because death comes to all. You can attain the world's riches but what will come of them after you're gone? They will go to someone who didn't work for all those things.

No, I am not immortal but I am still not running that race, no matter how often you wanna say it.

"Meaningless" is just a word. My life is very precious to me and not meaningless. The purpose of life is subjective. Its the purpose you give it yourself, not someone else.
I am not hear to attain the world's riches, but if I might collect a few I am happy for my daughter. She'll benefit from it.

The book of Ecclesiastes makes it very clear, whether you pursue: pleasure, work, time, religion, wealth, wisdom or justice, it's all a chasing after the wind. Outside of God, life has no meaning.
