so west nile virus isn't an issue because it's not fatal to mosquitos?

black plague isn't an issue because fleas are unharmed by it?

Boomers dont have to care about destroying Gen-Z’s lives with stupid rules because Gen-Z’ers are more likely to survive coronavirus.

children are germ factories, sluffing off the part they play in a pandemic as a nonissue because for them the disease is mostly nonfatal is a silly mistake. pandemics always have vector points that must be managed to reduce spread, ebola wasn't beaten with a vaccine, but instead cultural changes in burial practices for areas affected by ebola.

I’d argue the politicization of the virus by both sides. I don’t believe the numbers, why would you? Let’s talk about putting Covid patients in nursing homes or actual going against the cdc and telling everyone to stay in doors. When being out on a river or lake during the summer was the best choice for your health. The politics is the killer here.

i dont believe the numbers inherently, but even if we divide by a safe factor its still an issue. it has been hyped by both sides, but i can temper my action accordingly. i dont need 3 masks on and my vaxx QR code tattooed to my forehead, but i can get both shots and wear a mask around old people i care about without feeling silly.

edit: the flu does indeed kill a gross number of kids.

The point isn't that covid is not a problem, the point is that child mortality from covid is so incredibly miniscule that this aspect of the virus can be disregarded and any argument built on this specific notion is invalid.

The crux with covid are the elderly and the potentially overwhelming pressure on the ICUs, not its threat to young people.

yes I agree policy shouldn't be made over that point.
I'm sick of all the excuse making on the "its a flu side"
1. Its the cold
2. Its the flu
3. Only people with diabetes
4. Only people with BMI +30
5. Only the immunocompromised.
6.. blah blah blah.
take the mandates, take the shot.
get us on a better road to recovery..
How many of those dip shits who called this "the flu" really still believe that? They should go get a job at the ER they are short staffed, the flu is easy enough to recover from.
They should put their money where there mouth is.. A society is only as good as how it protects the vulnerable.
the US is a FAIL!

I agree with that, I wear a mask when I go into places.(even though I have my personal feelings on the mask) I’m more worried about the overreacting or the government or that corrupt people will always find a way to stay corrupt. I see the virus as one of the opportunities that these people prey on.

- It's fake, it's business
- We must follow the natural way
- It's not much vs others natural deaths
- Mostly old people so it just doesn't count lol
- Child mortality is too tiny to take the whole thing seriously now

i was less worried about the govt pre-Biden 100 employee company mandate, now its on my radar, but i also dont think it will hold up and/or be enforced.

I don’t think it will be either, but it’s the actions of these people that cause alarm. So many people are ready to give up freedoms so easily. It seems to me that a lot of people are fine with being told on how to live their lives and would be happy losing personal freedoms. (as long as their being taken care of.)
