Im sure there are plenty of people with treatable illnesses that cant/wont beat covid. heart conditions or lung issues specifically are no picnic but able to be managed for many. if you're 70+ and need the occasional pull off an inhaler good luck beating covid.

The point isn't that covid is not a problem, the point is that child mortality from covid is so incredibly miniscule that this aspect of the virus can be disregarded and any argument built on this specific notion is invalid.

The crux with covid are the elderly and the potentially overwhelming pressure on the ICUs, not its threat to young people.
