Which is right in some way, it should be states, but some of them are pooing in the soup.

From a Canadian's perspective of our Provinces handling things vs it being done federally I completely disagree.

I think all things COVID Should be handled at the federal level. Because each province has different requirements theres zero consistency. Even burden of vaccination proof is going to be different between them. For instance I just travelled through three and I had to fill out three sets of paper work and go through three application processes because nothing carries over from one to the other.

Some provinces I needed masks, others I didnt, some had social distancing , some didnt. It was a clusterfuck because there is no single guidance on it.

If the vaccine passport is going to be a thing make it federal so its 100% consistent across the provinces and territories. Our provinces much like the states dont agree with each other and as a result if you leave it up to them what is accepted in one wont be accepted in the other but you're fucked because you can only get your vaccine passport from your province in which you reside in.

Its a cluster fuck to say the least.

Another example. Where I live the Premier has said they are going to wait to see what happens with the other provinces in Canada vaccine passport wise. So we dont get our until December since he said it would be well after federal an provincial elections.

This means those provinces i normally travel to that do require one I wont be able to get in because our leader sat with a thumb up his ass.

Just take your medical records you might say. Well those dont work now either because all the Anti-vax are taking their vaccinated friends records and changing them in Adobe.

How our provincial medical records are not in a consolidated database across Canada rather than stored with the individual provincial health authority is beyond me. We should just have a simple QR code we can show which links to our federal database. My health authority is so unsophisticated, my records are all in paper! I have to call and they fax copies. I pay over 50% in tax per year fucking use a computer.

Anyway that is my rant.

Only talking about US. In US the States have such a power they should take the responsibility to apply the law for masks etc...
And look what happened... Some local red hats who did everything to destroy social distancing.

But today the situation is so bad for many of these red states that saboting federal actions is no longer an option. So they will bow down.
The price was thousands deaths.

It’s not bad. The Media is the only one yelling that the sky is falling.

Maybe it's not that bad (only 677000 + deads) because some measures have been taken, btw.

Approximately 1.5 million heart attacks and strokes occur every year in the United States. More than 800,000 people in the United States die from cardiovascular disease each year—that's 1 in every 3 deaths, and about 160,000 of them occur in people under age 65.

Ban sugar, fast food. Show paper work that you’ve done your min amount of exercise per day or be fined.(be forced to show paperwork to your work place or be fired)
