its a lateral move unless they can raise equal protections arguments using this as a staging point.

its a fly on the horse that is Biden's lead.

In guessing its only ~2000 ballots. Unless the democrats truly did do some big shenanigans.

the numbers have already been disclosed afaik, and its small-ish.

this affects ballots with a post mark after a set date, which were a small amount.

there is also some sort of challenge pending about counties that iirc sent ballots back to people, and allowed them to correct the ballots, because they were incomplete or incorrectly filled out. Trump is challenging that as this was not universally done, some county election officials did not do it, that theres an equal protections clause violation intra-state.

however for that clause to be applied afaik it would need to go to scotus level, and for that the ruling they'd hand down would affect nationwide mail in ballot procedures. which would be a violation of states rights to govern their own elections and would mandate a common federal behavior that i do not think the SCOTUS wants to touch. most if not all of the "trump allies" on the court are also devout state's rights advocates.

Its over in Georgia, and its blue guys. That is something. Now my state, Ohio, is more conservative than Arizona, Texas, Georgia, probably North Carolina.

Holy Mole. What a landslide victory.

Department of Homeland Security acting Secretary Chad Wolf is defying President Trump’s order to terminate election cybersecurity official Christopher Krebs, multiple sources tell The Post.

The White House on Wednesday evening instructed Wolf to fire Krebs after Krebs openly dismissed claims of voter fraud in the Nov. 3 election.

“He gave us a bunch of reasons why he didn’t want to do it and he said no,” a senior White House official told The Post about Wolf’s refusal.

“If anything, Chad is carrying Krebs’ water,” the source added.

Krebs, a former Microsoft executive, has since 2017 led DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and recently launched a “Rumor Control” website to debunk claims of voter fraud. A CISA panel declared Thursday that the “November 3rd election was the most secure in American history,” rejecting Trump’s claims of widespread fraud.

A different administration official said “the president wants to fire him” and “Chad Wolf is refusing.”

Weird seeing a story like this in the NY Post. Wolf isn't a guy who has combatted Trump's worst impulses before, but kudos if he did in this case.

I thought Biden would likely win but never predicted a landslide.

I guess you're the only liberal who didn't.
