For sure right wing & related trumpists did NOT help for it at all.

He didn't qualify his statement along the lines of "if the country goes along with my covid policies, we will shut the virus down". He made a very bold and unmistakable claim that he couldn't possibly live up to.

Also, as long as the vaccination rates among young folks and minorities are lagging as far behind as they do, the argument that only the uncooperative MAGA voters are to blame for the country's current covid woes is laughable. These demos lean strongly Democratic, Biden won them by big margins. These are "his" people and he has done a bad job convincing them to get jabbed. Of course the media and Democratic strategist prefer to run with the narrative that only white rednecks from MAGA country are to blame, but this notion is not grounded in reality as of today.

Dont forget: he's going to... There's no specific deadline.
I think he did what he can in time, with the power he had.

He simply can't force for pass in all states like we did in France as example.
So yeah, 1/ he has to do what he can 2/ it's not complete mostly because of red voters.

What you think he should have done ? Emergency at federal level ?

oh just wait, the lefties will call them “Trumpers” and “anti-science super-spreaders” no matter what. they already call people who are vaccinated dangerous super-spreaders if they’re walking their dog alone in a park 20 feet from anyone else

hackety hack. vaccination hesitancy is significantly more widespread amongst trumpists, and there are literally dozens of surveys that prove this very unsurprising FACT. you might as well stop lying.

the hospitals in several states are full with dying red hats who fell for trump's cynical move to politicise the pandemic - and they are killing fellow americans by unnecessarily occupying crucial health care resources. that body count is squarely on the shoulders of guys like trump, abbott, and desantis.
gullible morons choosing to die in order to own the libs, whatever - but the collateral damage that causes is unacceptable.

The collateral damage is unacceptable? What are you trying to say sir? Are you suggesting that your government should start mandating vaccination?

no, i'm saying that people who rejected the vaccine for political reasons should not go to hospitals when they catch the virus - not when it means that decent folk have to die for this stupid political miscalculation by some power hungry (and fully vaccinated) assholes.

This is the way hospitals have always worked.

What do you think they do with the extra bleeps in Chicago after a massive gang shooting?

Personally I think we should set politics aside and put the vaccinated Trump supporters to the front of the line as examples of responsible citizenry to the other supporters, and a positive example of Trump supporters to everybody else.

true, but doing that would have the political consequence of fracturing trumps base to the point he wont win again imo. and so i support it politically and logically.
