Maybe this is a function of my own implicit biases. As a foreigner, my percpetion will almost automatically get shaped disproportionately by channels like CNN (only US channel airing on free tv in Germany afaik), by high-quality newspapers of record like the NY Times or the WaPo, and by similarly elite publications like The Atlantic or NY magazine.

All in all, I still think that national media does on aggregate have a distinct liberal slant. But you and thor are probably right that I'm vastly underestimating how big and influential local news and talk radio are since these are types of media I engage with significantly less than someone actually living in the States.

There's also the aspect of "new media" which include podcasts and YouTube. Honestly, I have no idea what that ratio is but my gut tells me that it leans heavily to the right. The times are achangin!!

Roughly a quarter of adults get their news from YouTube

People like Dhar Mann are the ones that get 5 million views.

This is fairly Myopic.

I don't understand how people can have so much vitriol for others just for holding different political views.

And vitriol? I find it hilarious that the "I don't know what's in the vaccine!" crowd is literally taking livestock dewormer as a means of treating/preventing COVID. That study was done in 2011.

Ivermectin is designed to fight parasitic infections. I suppose you could say that it's working as intended, in these cases.

Thanks for admitting that you have nothing (besides vitriol).
