Dude as soon as Trump became the nominee, there was a posse of women paraded out and plastered all over media with headlines he sexually harassed me. Obama never went through even a tiny fraction of the garbage smear politics Trump went through while people like you cheered on. You guys were peak Karen's for 4 years straight. The January riot is a prime example of the collective pearl clutching and sky is falling, when if you just take a step back it's so fucking obvious the political partisan undertones to like 90% scandals.
At bold, you should of wanted that years ago. Why are you expecting republicans to suddenly be the bigger people now that a Democrat is in power? Where was this sentiment of counting blessings a few years ago?
Seriously? For a huge amount of Americans, the inofficial motto of Obama's presidency was "the audacity of
hope upending the racial hierarchy". He received a shitton of abuse and a certain orange-skinned real estate mogul from New York was one of the ringleaders.
What sets Trump and Obama apart is not the amount of personal attacks and smears that they received, it's by whom the received it. Obama was attacked by racist citizens, but received constant adulation by the mainstream media. The smear campaign against Trump, by contrast, was spearheaded by the mainstream media itself which kept coming up with one unverified, outlandish, baseless or mean-spirited story on him after another. While the media still kept up plausible deniabilty with Obama ("he's getting positive press because he's a good president pursuing good policy"), they dropped any pretense of neutrality during the Trump presidency.
