In regards of Venezuela, what destroyed us were:

-Socialist policies from the social democrats (light socialists) during 40 years (from 1958 to 1998) and then the hardcore socialist policies of chavez* from the last 20 years (from 1998 to 2018) that fast-forwarded the destruction of Venezuela.
-Massive uncontrolled immigration from the worst part of the societies (criminals, uneducated, etc) of Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, etc, from 1960s until 1980s. The worst part of their societies were allowed to come to Venezuela to give free votes to AD and Copei (social democrats) to win elections.

These two were the main reasons why we are where we are now.

*I know chavez is dead now, but maduro is following/continuing what chavez started.

Can’t take anything seriously with that joke of an avatar

Cry me a river.

This guy is probably one of those germans who hate themselves and believe in that multicultural BS.

Notice how the self-hating german kid attacks me instead of using arguments to debate what I posted about.

There were no drug wars in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia or Colombia back in the 60s.

There was in Colombia only in the 70s and 80s... but not in any of the other countries.

What fucked us were our own stupidity and corruption. Socialist policies distorted our society, made us more corrupt and less educated, and the invasion of the uncontrolled immigration made it worse, the final result was having an ignorant resented socialist gorilla in power: hugo chavez, who put the final nail in the coffin.

Yep every third world country is the USAs fault. :/

We are responsible for contributing to actions and policies that create the violent terrible conditions that many are fleeing from, risking their lives and their family's lives, and border treatment by an administration that jerk off to "tough" border policy

We contribute to destroying the lives and livelihood there and we profit off their broken backs here all while treating them like shit in between

Research the drug war

Just because some countries want a quick buck from the drug trade, doesn't mean they get a free pass across our borders.
Sure it sounds good to say: "fleeing horrible conditions", but these are "conditions" these people have allowed to happen.

You can't blame the drug war on the US, we aren't producing the stuff. Can't have a drug war, where no one is producing drugs.

Ah yes

Fucking things up while profiting greedily and maliciously from it, and blaming those harmed for not figuring out how to pick up the pieces

I'm very familiar with this way of thinking

I never said everyone in the US was a saint. This, "we manufacture coke, and we want the money for it, but none of the bad that goes with"...is BS.
Just grow something else, or mine, or sell wood, or tourism.

When you lay down with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

Also, these "refugees" are probably the ones that succeeded in the drug business. The US doesn't need more of them.

Raped and murdered

tortured and enslaved

young girls forced into "relationships" with gang leaders

seeing it, living it, running from it

"succeeded in the drug business"? these are mostly victims of it and fleeing from it

You can hate brown people and love borders and love tough enforcement (of the laws that you cherry pick) without being a liar

Yeah, right. Yo Beo, I've been raped and mnurdered and generally put upon, can I come live with you?

Doesn't sound so hot when familiarity make the BS so obvious.

Guess going to live with Grandma was harder than a couple 1000 mile trek with unknown ending. :/
