So then I assume you must be vegan too, or else you're a super duper hypocrite.

I wouldn't expect consistency... not many people recognize the impact of their food choices.

Well, one reason is consuming meat/animal products puts a tremendous strain on the health care system. The number one leading cause of death in the United States is heart disease, and it's not just overweight/obese people who get it. Vegans have a tremendously lower rate of heart disease.

That's not even considering the environmental impact of animal agriculture.

As a card-carrying vegan and liberal, I can attest that veganism is not mainstream throughout liberal movements.

Although, yes, the majority of people who are vegan tend to be liberal. We're still relatively few and far between though.

...how do you know if someone's a vegan ? ...don't worry , they'll tell you ...gotta be one of the truest memes ever :)

To rail against fat people because it causes a "burden" on you and society because of taxes going toward health care while also not being vegan is definitely hypocrisy.

I mean, it's even worse to be non-vegan than it is to be fat under that logic. Being fat only plays a health risk to the individual and increases healthcare costs.

Non-vegan diets are associated with fueling the root cause of the largest contributor to rainforest destruction (which leads to ocean acidification) and the largest methane producer (25 times the green house effect of CO2).

So your diet is negatively impacting all of us, especially in regards to climate change! You should be shamed, publicly, and without recourse!

Also, this:

Not gonna' lie, I actually really love vegan memes. Many vegans find them offensive, but they always make me laugh.

I do hope you know I'm being satirical, since shaming people for not being vegan is absurd, as is shaming people who're fat. ;)

I see, and climate change also causes terrorism, so really, we should blame non-vegans for what happened in Brussels last week.
