Irrelevant. The law is about justice and fostering a peaceful, productive society. It has to strive for justice for everyone, not just the majority. Particularly when the interests of the majority could very easily be upheld without screwing certain fringe cases.
I, personally, consider these heartbeat bills to be too radical and impracticable - but not even granting exceptions for rape or incest is a total non-starter and shows the bad faith intention behind this law.

Of course its fucking relevant.

my litmus test is by design to handle outliers to find exceptions, you're attacking the purpose of a question as if its an oversight when its actually the whole point.

Life is the whole point, n00b.

Less than 1% of cases - arent even fucking relevant, you heathen.

So then why get bent out of shape over 2nd and 3rd trimester abortions? IMO, those are less egregious because most of the time, people WANTED to have the baby but there's an awful genetic defect that causes the fetus to be not viable.

I'm not sure which r-word you're referring to but some abnormalities are pretty gnarly such as your guts growing outside your body. IMO, those fetuses should be given an anesthetic to remove all pain prior to termination.

Normally I'd agree, but there's a huge moral grey area in this regard when it comes to pregnancies with Down's syndrome, which are usually only detected in the second trimester. They are terminated in the big majority of cases although these children would almost always be able to survive if carried to full term.

I, personally, am in favor of this screening, but 2nd trimester abortions are not as ultra-rare as you make them out to be and don't exclusively occur due to horrible genetic defects.

Of course it is irrelevant. Again: the goal of law is to create justice for everyone, not just a majority while the minority can go fuck itself.

Terminating a child with Down's should be illegal since they can live several decades and even be productive.
