Good emotional argument

Let me guess, you and read in science too

its a simple question, are there any exemptions you support for abortion? rape and incest are the most common 2 that conservative pro lifers have, i wrapped them into 1 for a more potent (if more rare) examples.

but yes, i do and read in science too.

This Texas abortion law would not even allow girls who were raped to get an abortion. It's pure and total bullshit and far too radical.

Likewise, it's baffling how the Supreme Court refused to block this law which is an engregious and blatant violation of the current federal jurisprudence surrounding abortion (Roe v. Wade, Casey v. Planned Parenthood).
If the consevative majority on the Supreme Court wants to relitigate these federal abortion laws, they are free to do that - but not by ignoring a brazen violation of applicable law.

So yes, this Texas law is pure bullshit, as is the SCOTUS reaction to it.
Nonetheless, at the same time, it is also completely ridiculous and deluded to compare Texas Republicans with the Taliban.

jesus fucking christ, i was not aware of this hardcore church bullshit

oh well

if an exception is so rare it is almost never used then what is the problem with having it?

if 1% of women arent important than the same percent of women that will marry you also dont matter.

What percent of abortions account for that scenario?

Then why care? Just pass anther law. It isn't statistically relevant.

LETS KILL 80% OF PEOPLE INSTEAD OF 0.1% BECAUSE IM A STUPID LIBERAL!

my litmus test is by design to handle outliers to find exceptions, you're attacking the purpose of a question as if its an oversight when its actually the whole point.

Irrelevant. The law is about justice and fostering a peaceful, productive society. It has to strive for justice for everyone, not just the majority. Particularly when the interests of the majority could very easily be upheld without screwing certain fringe cases.
I, personally, consider these heartbeat bills to be too radical and impracticable - but not even granting exceptions for rape or incest is a total non-starter and shows the bad faith intention behind this law.

Note that the supreme court didn't rule on the merits, just that they didn't have jurisdiction at the time, it needs to go through the lower courts. Now if it comes back to them and they pull this shit again, then we have a real problem.

Now apply that standard to third trimester/late stage abortions.
