Why is Covid different than HIV in terms of how wrecklessly spreading it should be criminal?

Both concern yourself with wearing personal protective gear for your own protection.

It's a good thing that the baby boomers and the WASP are getting covid because otherwise the government just wouldn't give a shit, also.

Also, such weird discriminations against certain anatomy and diseases.

She gets to breath and cough on people with infected lungs after going against medical advice and not social distancing, not masking, going in public, during a respiratory pandemic, and that's her privilege. If a gay man does this with certain conditions plauging the community the same crowd respecting her privilege is calling that person a criminal and requesting the state kidnap and cage that person.

Funny how that stuff even plays out with disease transmission.

The big difference is that HIV is incurable and has a much higher fatality rate. And for the longest time, there was no effective treatment at all, so that an infection with HIV was effectively a death sentence. By contrast, the overwhelming majority of Sars-CoV-2 positive patients recover without complications or lasting damage. According to preliminary studies (for example from Oxford, China and Germany), the true infection fatality rate of Sars-CoV-2 lies in the range of 0.1 - 1%. Furthermore, if someone infects someone else, there is no way of proving that this transmission wouldnt have happened with a (household) mask. And finally, none of the bystanders in fender's pic fall into the age groups which carry the bulk of the risk.

the hoops you're willing to jump through... unbelievable... yeah sure, let's just pretend this is ok because in ONE picture you don't spot anyone that has a tag that reads 'relevant pre-existing condition' on their body, and those are certainly the only people that she ever came close to, not wearing a mask in public, while likely already carrying the virus. it's amazing how stupid some people have to (pretend to) be in order to rationalise their side's behaviour.

If you showed me a pic of her in a nursing home without mask, I'd blast her for it.
Btw, is not wearing a mask in a public outdoors setting even illegal in the U.S. right now? Dont think so...
