I don't know what your problem is. The UN is a liberal stronghold. I would think you'd love everything they do.
what are you even on about? not only are reasonably intelligent people capable of more nuance than that, it also has literally nothing to do with the point i'm making. all i'm saying is that if you expect the chinese to engage in similarly misguided nation building efforts, trying to hold the taliban to some kind of humanitarian standards (which would be a joke coming from china), or even trying to replace them, you're oblivious to how china conducts foreign policy and what they want out of that region.
i said it before, i'll say it again: the most likely scenario is a cooperation with the taliban, providing them with the foreign currency they so desperately need, in exchange for establishing chinese run trade hubs to extract whatever resources the deem worthy of exploiting, and they will remain "flexible" enough to maintain warm relations with whatever other (regional) faction might rise to power, to not endanger their economic interest by taking a firm political stance.
my point is that your "live-fire military experience gathering" scenario for chinese-taliban relations is unrealistic and completely out of character for chinese foreign policy. doesn't mean they are good guys or anything along those lines, just means you're ignorant when it comes to this topic.
