That's not some herculean task, we're the fucking USA, read up on the gulf war and how in a manner of a few months we literally deployed 700,000k soldiers and in a matter of weeks repelled and destroyed an army of 300,000. Logistical feats like that can happen 30 years ago but planning flights for 50-60k afghan allies cant over the span of 7 months? What needed to happen could have been accomplished in literally a few weeks and from when Biden took office until August it could have been planned a dozen times over. This is a US failure, not a presidents failure. Biden will go down in history as the face of it but like i'v said before the real fault lies with the hawks and our military.

You're right in saying that's it's not Trumps policies that held things together though that's just memery. Trump didn't do it on his term because the democrats and the military got together and basically congressionally handcuffed him from doing it, which is great to watch this blow up in their face now.

To be fair, when you are global superpower and military arm of the UN and NATO, it probably makes a ton of sense to spend billions to actively train soldiers and give them live-fire real-world experience. China is far behind the US in terms of military experience. I wouldn't be shocked to see China enter Afghanistan and set up its own military training base to give their troops live-fire experience.
