Not everyone has a tax file number afaik...
And on the flip side, there is no fine for not voting in the US. In fact, Australia is an exception in this regard.

If you don't pay tax you shouldn't get to vote :D

Wouldnt this exclude a lot of college students from voting and heavily shift the electorate to the right?

And does this also apply to a stay-at-home mom who's homeschooling her 4 children?
Does it apply to the millions of workers who were furloughed or laid off due to the virus?

Tying voting rights to certain forms of income or property is a concept from the 19th century...

If you have worked and paid tax you have a tax file number, even if you are not currently working.
If the college students are having mom and dad pay their way then mom and dad should vote for them.

Why would this shift things to the right?

I bet liberals on his forum pay way more tax is not conservatives on this forum.

Do you think a lot of tax revenue is coming out a trailer parks or something? Lol. The people who don't know the difference between Obama care and the affordable care act are all on medicaid anyways. They pay taxes?

Conservatives are often poor people voting against their best interests due to wedge issues.

I said excluding a lot of college students would shift the electorate to the right. Which no sane person will dispute.

The rest of your rant is based on a wrong premise.

The income breakdown for the 2016 presidential election [1]:

And the same for the 2018 House election [2]:

So gtfo with your ideolgy-driven delusion that Republican/Trump voters are all poor white trash.

The chart you posted is the proof of a strong balance. And then the core of poor under-educated whites made the difference.

Plenty of dumb whites in America to swing elections. That's why the Republican party so concerned about whites becoming a minority. It isn't because they're all the sudden going to start being treated poorly like other minorities lol.

I can go for a jog and nobody will defend my murder for example.
