It doesn't just come down to his actions at that moment. He spent years leading up to the capital riot calling the legitimacy of the system into question based on absolutely nothing.

There are no facts in his corner. There is not "both sides" to this, he lied for years so that if he lost he could rile up his base. The issue they rioted over is a fabrication explicitly put forth by Trump, and that makes him responsible as a leader.

Nancy Pelosi should have spent more time building a case on these grounds. McConnell specifically asked to see the articles before deciding. She did not, because she is incompetent and lazy, and this impeachment will be decided on those grounds.
