My timeline refers to the political side/the congress side of things.

Since you accuse me of being an unobjective partisan, can you point me to any item or point on my list where you disagree?
In general, it's interesting that I caught a lot of flak this morning from the usual suspects like fender, sauci and thundercock, yet no one has given any concrete rebuttal to my little list.

you caught flak for being a hack. for exclusively criticising democrats for their alleged politicisation of the process, while ignoring the substance entirely (as predicted). for acting like there was some legitimate justification for the senate republicans' refusal to have a key witness testify, acting as pawns of this administration rather than fulfilling their oath of impartialilty or even 'just' their oath of office. again, that's a ridiculous position to hold. but it's the only one you people have left to spin this into a 'democrats bad' narrative...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell did not know that President Donald Trump's administration had a copy of an explosive manuscript by ex-national security adviser John Bolton, a spokesman said.

And Kentucky's longtime senator, who has said he's in "total coordination" with the White House on the impeachment trial, reportedly isn't happy.

Senate majority leader "did not have any advance notice" that the National Security Council reportedly had a copy of Bolton's manuscript for weeks.

=> Best coordination ever made.

A majority of Americans now conclude that this is a colossal waste of time.

What's especially interesting is that Republicans have fallen increasingly behind the President the longer this has gone on. A chunk of the leftists on this forum initially voiced the hope / conviction that Republicans would eventually break from the President, but that doesn't appear grounded in fact.

This is why Congress shouldn't worry too much about public polling this far out. People have already forgotten that there wasn't consensus between the two chambers and they actually think that issues will be "solved." :rofl:

To be fair, polls simultaneously show support for additional witnesses going up slightly. These two polls contradict one another, which the fivethirtyeight crew also mentioned on their podcast from today.

I think it would be delusional to deny that the Bolton twist has put Senate Republicans in a more precarious position.

If you were trying to increase GOP voter turnout, you definitely succeeded.

They always vote anyways. Higher the turnout the more it benefits the Democratic Party.

That's why the GOP doubles down so much on voter suppression.

He's referring to GOP turnout and I think there's an element of Trump's base that you're underestimating. Granted, I don't think impeachment is going to really galvanize these voters anymore than they are. These people love what Trump stands for: a warrior for the culture war. They love that he shits on liberals and institutions each and every day.

He will own us libtards until his supporters can't afford health insurance anymore lol. Because they have that affordable care act and not that Obamacare crap.

My taxes have decreased at least.
