Yep, they should cut their losses and move on. Domestically, they were forced to do something about the killing of their general. They attacked two heavily fortified bases in Iraq that the US was already on high-alert to defend. It was more of a gesture than anything else.
Politically, they are isolating Trump for being the culprit in all of this rather than the US. They know that the US is in domestic political turmoil right now and are taking advantage of that with their public statements.
It’s hard to really be that upset over his speech this AM tbh. If anything the hawks would be upset
Granted I do acknowledge it’s hard for SOME trump supporters to figure out themselves if they are hawk or anti hawk as they try to keep up with trumps drums
