yeah there is a place for both, his point wasnt so much about the medium comparison as it was virtue signaling "fake smarty pants who just want you to know they read"
I cant think of a movie that was based on a book that I read that I didnt prefer the book, but when I get in the zone reading it's like a movie is playing in my mindseye anyhow.

I liked his point on vegans need to make new mouth sounds for the shit they eat and stop calling it fake chicken, burger, bacon etc, why associate it with something you object to.
