I never said, I didnt read it. I was born and raised christian. I read this fucking book not only once, I had to read it multiple times in my childhood and teenage years.
What do you wanna tell me here? You wanna tell me that the meaning of the bible is life advice or what? A book that explains to some idiots how they should behave in case they hadnt figured it out for themselves? Is that what you wanna tell me?
What I mean when I say the bible doesnt mean anything, is that it appears to be just a manwritten book and not the word of some uber entity. If you personally read it, cherrypicked some "good" passages and took something with you from those, then fine. In that case the bible provided subjective meaning for you. Fine.
But there is no objective meaning to it in the sense of objective truth.
The bible doesnt bring anyone closer to the truth of our origin.
Its a book that claims certain things without being able to prove them. Thats why its worthless.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 - NIV
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Do you want the "manwritten" version of the Bible? What would the Bible say if it were written purely by man? Go and read from Genesis chapters 1-11 and then stop right there. Do NOT read anything from Genesis 12 onwards. Look at the state of the world at that point in time and how sin is spreading all over the world.
Genesis chapter 12 is the beginning of God's great plan to save mankind from sin. Have you seen the state of the world now? I'll give you some extraordinary news, there is a war going on between Russia and Ukraine. Also, Hamas launched a barrage of missiles as a cover to an invasion of southern Israel. In America there was yet ANOTHER mass shooting event.
It's quite obvious to me that there are a lot of people who haven't been able to figure this out themselves. Whether you like it or not the recurring theme of the Bible is that God needs to step in and do all the work for us. We as humans are unable to solve the problem of sin. We are saved by grace and not by works, so that no one can boast.
